Our Slack integration allows you to pass Alerts into Slack to ensure that you have your finger on the pulse when it comes to on-site behavioural trends.
Enabling the Slack Integration
To enable this option, simply navigate to Settings > Integrations > Communication > Slack and tick the Slack Integration Enabled checkbox.
From here, you will be presented with the Type dropdown, which enables you to select how you wish for Decibel to send Alerts through to Slack.
You can select to use Webhooks, which will require you to create an Incoming Webhook in Slack, and you can find out more information regarding that here. If selecting Webhooks from the Type dropdown, you can simply click Save.
You will now need to go to Alerts and Subscribe to the relevant alert that you wish to, adding the Webhook URL in the Channel URL within Alerts. More information on subscribing to Alerts in Slack can be found here.
Using Web API
You can also configure the integration to use Legacy Tokens by selecting the Web API option from the Type dropdown. This will require you to add the API Token and Username in the fields that you will see after selecting Web API. Once configured, click Save.
You will now need to go to Alerts and Subscribe to the relevant alert that you wish to, selecting the Channel that you wish to share the alert to by choosing this from the Channel dropdown. More information on subscribing to Alerts in Slack can be found here.
